Probate and estate planning matters are managed at the firm by attorney Dean Schirmer, who has been in practice with us for over 30 years. Hiroshima Daggett provides comprehensive  estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate administration, and litigation services for clients located throughout the greater Sacramento area. We carefully craft comprehensive estate plans that accomplish the goals of our clients. Estate, trust, and probate matters require experienced legal representation. The attorneys at Hiroshima Daggett have the knowledge, skills, and integrity to successfully resolve difficult and complex estate planning issues. We recognize that every client’s situation is unique and we prepare every client’s estate planning documents accordingly. Our firm represents clients in establishing conservatorships and guardianships and serve as counsel to the conservator or guardian. We also represent clients in related litigation.

Probate & Probate Litigation

Our attorneys have extensive experience in the area of probate administration, and have handled estates of all sizes and complexities, ranging from simple estates to large estates comprised of large holdings in real estate, business interests, and assets located in more than one state. We also represent clients in contested probate matters, including will contests, lawsuits challenging the validity or interpretation of a will, beneficiary disputes, and allegations involving a breach of fiduciary duty by an executor or administrator.

Trust Administration and Trust and Estate Litigation

Our attorneys have significant experience in the area of trust administration, including the settlement of complex estate matters and the use of disclaimers. Our attorneys also provide experienced representation of trustees or beneficiaries of trusts in trust and estate litigation, including contests, lawsuits concerning the interpretation of estate planning documents, trust termination proceedings, disputes over accountings and trustee removal proceedings.

Elder Care & Elder Abuse

A thoughtfully prepared estate plan protects clients not only in the event of a death, but also provides a plan for a client’s subsequent incapacity. Trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advanced medical directives serve to protect our clients in the event they become incapacitated. Our attorneys routinely advise clients on elder law issues, including planning considerations. Our attorneys also represent clients who have been the victim of nursing home or elder abuse.
